Out of Light – Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy — Out of Light
Last updated: 24 July 2026
Out of Light (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is a single-player arcade game published by Maxal (Dajan Vulaj). This policy explains what the game does with your information. It is written to be read, not to hide behind.
The short version
The game itself collects no personal data and has no account. It shows advertising through Google AdMob, and it stores a couple of settings on your device. Details below.
What the game stores on your device
Everything the game saves stays on your device:
- Your best score (a single number).
- Your sound on/off preference.
This data never leaves your device, is not tied to your identity, and is removed if you delete the game.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows ads served by Google AdMob, a Google service. To deliver ads, AdMob may collect and process device and advertising identifiers and similar technical information, and — where you have consented — use them to personalize ads. This processing is carried out by Google, as a third party, under Google’s own policies:
- Google Ads / technologies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Where the law requires it (e.g. the EU/UK, and iOS App Tracking Transparency), the game asks for your consent before any personalized advertising, and you can decline; you will still be able to play, and may see non-personalized ads instead.
Online leaderboards
If you use the leaderboard, your best score is submitted to the platform game service — Apple Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android) — using the identity you have already set up with Apple or Google. Those services run under their privacy policies; we do not receive your name, email, or account details. Using the leaderboard is optional and the game is fully playable offline.
What we do NOT do
- We keep no analytics of our own and run no third-party tracking beyond the AdMob advertising described above.
- We request no location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photos access.
- We do not sell your data.
Children
Out of Light is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and advertising is configured to use child-appropriate / non-personalized settings where required.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes any of the above, we will update this policy and its effective date before that version is released.
